2.情有可原
If you say that someone couldbe forgiven for doing something, you mean that they were wrong or mistaken, but not seriously, because many people would have done the same thing in those circumstances.

1. forgive的基本意思是“原谅”或“宽恕”某人或对某人所做的违法或过失之事而不施以惩罚甚至打消一切记恨、埋怨或复仇心理,引申可指免除某人的债务等。在礼貌用语中,可表示希望不使他人因自己而被烦扰。
2. forgive既可用作及物动词,又可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时,接名词或动名词作宾语,也可接两个直接宾语,变为被动结构时应以人作主语; 用作不及物动词时,通常与介词for连用。
